Mr. Hunter has been selected for inclusion in the book "Best Lawyers in America" for the past seventeen years in the area of labor and employment law.  For the past twelve years Mr. Hunter has been included in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine's annual article titled "New Jersey Attorneys Name Their Favorite Lawyers" as one of New Jersey's "Top Lawyers" in the field of labor law.

Mr. Hunter was also selected as a New Jersey Super Lawyer (for 2006) by Law and Politics Magazine and the publishers of New Jersey Monthly in the field of labor law.

Mr. Hunter was the Co-Chairman of the PERC Practice and Procedures Sub-Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association for 12 years.  He served on the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section for the 2001-2002 term and was also appointed as the Coordinator of the Public Employment Litigation Sub-Committee for the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 terms.  He is presently a Co-Chairman of the Sexual Harassment in the Workforce Committee.

Mr. Hunter has also been active in representing Plaintiffs in employment discrimination matters, with a special emphasis on representing employees in handicap discrimination proceedings.  In 1987, he was the recipient of the National Award for Advocacy presented by the Epilepsy Foundation of America.

Hobbies

Steve Hunter is an avid sports fan.  He is a loyal supporter of his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and the Yankees, Nets, Giants, Jets and Devils.  He enjoys traveling internationally and spending quality time with his family.
