After the firm’s legal team filed a Petition for a Writ of Habeas Corpus in the United States District Court, a federal judge ordered the immediate release of the client, finding that the detention was unlawful.
In a strongly worded decision, the Court stated:
“Petitioner’s arrest and detention were blatantly unlawful from the start. The only commensurate and appropriate equitable remedy to even partially restore Petitioner is to immediately release him and enjoin the Government from further similar transgressions.”
The ruling followed extensive legal work by attorney Michael Detzky and his staff, who acted swiftly to challenge the legality of the client’s detention and seek relief through the federal court system.
The Court’s decision resulted in the client’s immediate release, allowing him to reunite with his family after a difficult and uncertain period of detention.
